Airport Consult is a specialist engineering consultancy dedicated to the design, management and auditing of Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) systems. Backed by more than 20 years of experience across Australia's civilian, defence, mining and remote aerodromes, we deliver practical, compliant and cost effective solutions with an uncompromising focus on quality, safety and constructability.
Our capability spans the full project lifecycle, from scoping and feasibility, through concept and detailed design, to construction support, commissioning and ongoing maintenance.

Nick Kefalianos | Principal
AGL Design, Auditing, Management and Training
Nick brings more than 20 years of specialist experience in Aeronautical Ground Lighting. His expertise spans auditing, design, documentation, project management, construction phase monitoring and AGL training, across approach and PAPI systems, runway and taxiway lighting, runway guard lights, stop bars, MAGS, pit and duct, primary cabling, apron floodlighting, AGL control systems and airfield lighting equipment rooms (ALER).
Over the course of his career, Nick has delivered AGL design and on site construction inspection for the installation and commissioning of AGL systems at the majority of Royal Australian Air Force bases across the country, as well as numerous civilian airfields. Through this breadth of work, Nick has developed a thorough understanding of both Australian and international aviation standards as they apply to civilian and defence airfields.

All design and documentation undergoes a rigorous internal review process, ensuring client requirements are met in full and reinforcing our commitment to continual improvement. We recognise the importance of Safe Design and apply safe design principles throughout, eliminating or minimising health and safety risks to all parties so far as is reasonably practicable.
